Description

This resource results from the first cross-genus banana family (Musaceae) pangenome containing representatives of the Musa and Ensete genera. An iterative mapping and assembly approach (Golicz et al. 2016) using whole-genome Illumina sequence data collated from 15 banana accessions (12 of which represent the genus Musa with three from Ensete).

The pangenome sequencing project was led by the University of Western Australia in collaboration with the Alliance of Bioversity International-CIAT and the Institute of Experimental Botany

The dataset can be found in the download section and browsable using Jbrowse and Panache
